About Hypnotherapy

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is FOCUS. Hypnotherapists helps their clients focus on their desires & potential rather than their fears & problems from the past. Hypnosis also refers to the repeated messages your mind has received over time about your self-esteem, your value, your level of success, who are you and what you are capable of. In hypnotherapy you can unlearn the negative messages you received from the past & re-learn positive messages on a deep level that encourage you and support your goals.

Will I remember what happened in my session?

Yes, you are not asleep in hypnosis. This is a deeply relaxing state, physically & mentally. Your awareness actually INCREASES. You will be aware the entire time, you will be communicating with your hypnotherapist, and you are in control at all times. You have the choice to come out of the relaxed state at any point in the session.

What if I can't by hypnotized? (Because I need to be in control, my mind is too strong, I'm too nervous).

Research has shown that almost 90% of people benefit from hypnosis regardless of their ability to be "hypnotized" or not. All that is required of you in your session is your attention and concentration. Most people find their session to be a much needed relaxing and pleasant experience.

Will I have to do what you say like I've seen in stage hypnosis shows?

You can't be made to do anything that you don't want to do or believe anything that you don't want to believe. The people who participate in stage hypnosis shows actually WANT to be doing those things like singing and dancing on stage. Hypnotherapists have no desire to use hypnosis in this way. The intention for a hypnotherapy session is to access your subconscious mind to help you make a positive shift in your life & feel more confident to achieve your goals.
